The South Coast

On the South Coast day tour, we head towards the east over the mountain area Hellisheiði. You will be able to see the volcano that erupted in 2010 and where the enormous flood of mud and ice broke its way through the glacier. Next, we will stop at the beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the 40-meter high waterfall. After a refreshing shower from the spray of the waterfall, we will drive to the glacier Sólheimajökull. From the glacier, we will go to Iceland‘s most famous black sand beach, Reynisfjara, where the roaring surf of the mighty Atlantic Ocean blasts on the shoreline and see the beautiful basalt stacks majestically rise from the sea. Our next stop is Vík, the most southern town in Iceland. On the way back, we will stop at Skogafoss, a beautiful 60-meter high free-falling waterfall, before heading back to Reykjavík.
